So, firstly the concept. It's to get someone's attention with a colorful visuals and with the recorder being in the middle of the table, I hope that people will press play. I will need to disable every other button though. And the recorder itself needs to be inviting too. I've found one called Loopy Lou:

A bit pricey, but it fits the kind of simplistic box like visual I have in mind. It also sounds filtered, slightly distorted, which makes it hard to hear. This sort of sound should make people notice the arguing going on in the big room next to them.

I have a lot of very young relatives now. So with that, comes a lot of extra toys and coloring books bought for them. I've got crayons and some toys already, so no extra payment will be needed for those.

It is hard to guess how people will approach to the black room. They may simply press their ears against the walls, or the door to listen. The door knob will have a keyhole of course, to allow them to see the insides. For those who open the door, I also would like to give an eerie feeling, to further emphasize their act of overstepping their boundaries. At the back of the door, there will be pieces of glass, inside a little bag, so opening the door will make them shake. The sound of broken glass should achieve that feeling.

Except, the parents will be projected as silhouettes to a white background, like in the picture. Like it was in the music video of Sade - Love is Found.

The door will be fully wooden, brown door, which I think of getting for around 130 TL in Koçtaş. Problem is, what to do with it afterwards.

A plain, staight, white curtain of that size(170cm x 220 cm) costs around 90-120 TL.

I'd prefer to have the floor to be wooden tiles, which sure fits the living room style, but in my head it always reminds me of the wooden floors of theatre stages. The cost of having that would be around 51 TL. (www.yerevdekor.com)
