“Unseen” progress and achievement When we first came up with the idea,our standpoint was the 90’s aesthetics and communication hype that shaped the era. We didn’t expect to experience so much about the perception process. During the first weeks we got lost on how to come up with a proper context for the installation. We recorded hours of meaningless conversations and shot people without a text primarily thinking these would not help us at all. To our surprise at the editing, something really cool happened. The voice-over and the images just stuck up really well. The realisation what we needed for a story was only enough experience and product shocked us a little.
Pathway choice I was always interested in the field of semantics. The question what creates the meaning or from a more contemporary point of view is there any pure meaning anymore really attracted me. When I heard the assignment was to project any idea on a medium of our choosing I knew I had to delve into something in pursuit of meaningless. Because meaninglessness is a subjective matter at the end of the day. You can’t be expected to come up with something without any meaning by using ingredients from the known universe. Rael loss of mening takes a lot of hard work and a huge load of subjective distraction. I am planning to work on this on further projects.
Evaluation Given enough budget and time i believe i can come up with a project equivalent to my thoughts. I am really content with what we achieved with under zero budget. My only plan is to do further research and readings on the topic and come up with alternative ways to alter the usage of this medium.
